Càdiz stormlantern, clear glass with oxygenbubbles

Lanterns are now part of the basic equipment of every home, as they decoratively embellish every ambience and radiate cosiness and warmth with candlelight. The look of Càdiz is captivating simply because of the use of so-called foam glass. During the manufacturing process, the glassblower blows oxygen into the glass mass. This causes an infinite number of air bubbles to form, similar to the development of bubbles when opening a carbonated bottle of water. Small irregularities in the glass document this artisanal manufacturing process. Wax residues can be easily removed with warm water and a little washing-up liquid. We also recommend cleaning by hand.
