Vases are among the few objects that allow for so many uses and material mixes. The Raffael vases are a modern interpretation of an antique glass silvering technique, also known as farmer’s silver. The inside of the mouth-blown glass corpus is steamed with silver or metal and then a light acid treatment is used to create the patina. The lower part of the vase is dipped in paint to achieve an ombré effect. This surface finish looks different on every piece, making each one unique. Tough limescale rings and plant residue can be removed with vinegar essence. Do not put your vase in the dishwasher.
