What appears to be light and airy is actually surprisingly heavy and solid. The salviato vases and storm lanterns made from thick crystal glass are little eye-catchers thanks to the complicated technique. Hundreds of tiny air bubbles are trapped inside the glass melt. The introduction of oxygen during the glassblowing process results in such unusual works of art, and one thing is clear – each one remains a one-of-a kind piece with the genuine character of an 'objet d’art'.
