One of the oldest handicraft techniques of mankind is the production of ceramic vessels, which in principle has not changed over the millennia. Bowls and dishes are more or less still produced today using a similar process. The slightly organically shaped Sapporo bowls are cast from fine ceramics and high-fired. The bowl is sealed with a metallic reactive glaze on the outside and a cream-colored glaze on the inside. This makes it versatile, as a decorative bowl as well as for serving a salad. Sapporo should be washed by hand and not in the dishwasher, the noble metallic glaze can lose its shine.
