There are few objects whose function allows so many design options and materialities as vases. The Vasco vases are rather noble glass objects that particularly set off individual flowers and leaves in the Ikebana style. Vasco is mouth-blown from clear and solidcoloured glass using the so-called overlay technique. The several centimetres thick ice of the vase encloses the coloured inner body and lets the colours shine like precious stones. Small bubbles in the ice are a sign of this genuine, handcrafted process. After the glass has cooled down, the rim is generously ground off, effectively emphasising the thickness of the glass. Stubborn rims, limescale and plant residue can be removed with vinegar cleaner. Do not wash your vase in the dishwasher, this could lead to so-called chill marks.
