The expressive Crisant storm lantern is a small masterpiece of metal working craftsmanship. It is first carved in wax by hand in order to fashion the flower-shaped facets extremely precisely. The casting mould is then prepared based on this model. In a final casting step the facets are given a fine linear surface structure, also applied by hand. Candlewax should not be removed with abrasive or sharp objects as this would damage the surface, but it will come off easily with warm water and a soft cloth.
