Pillar-like console tables are a darling of the new furnishing style. Displaying valuable stand-alone collector’s pieces on a pillar turns them into heroes. They are also fantastic for holding table lamps beside the sofa or as an eye-catching shelf in the hallway. The delicate yet solid metal frame holds an elegantly patinated metal top, which is scored in a weblike pattern using an acid etching technique. In a final refining step the surface is given its special graphite finish. Simply clean the surface with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Wine and other acidic liquids will damage the finish and must therefore be wiped off immediately.
