At the beginning of the 20th century, some very special everyday furniture was created in Asia using materials from the region and based on the style of old European classics. Mauritius is made of solid teak; the sides are cut from a single piece of wood. The seat is handwoven rattan skin. This chair is not only a true icon of handcrafting skill but also very comfortable and functional. It goes without saying that all teak wood is sourced from certified plantations. Teak oil should be rubbed into the wood regularly to maintain its colour and sheen.
