Uni is the Japanese word for sea urchin and is one of the most popular delicacies. This interpretation of a sea urchin in cast metal is a feast for the eyes. The mould is first modelled by hand in wax and then used for the casting. These little works of art are handcrafted by extremely experienced artisans. Melted wax should not be removed with sharp objects. Simply dissolve the wax with warm water and polish the surface with a soft cloth.
